Aegis Continues Isobar Roll-Up, Acquires Ion
LONDON-BASED AEGIS GROUP CONTINUES TO expand its burgeoning Isobar network - already the world's largest digital advertising services group - announcing the acquisition of Ion Global, a digital marketing shop with offices in Seoul, Korea; San Francisco and Hong Kong, for about $1 million. Each of Ion's three operations has developed different capabilities, which will each be integrated into an existing regional Isobar operation. Ion's largest business, in Seoul, offers mobile, Web strategy, site construction, device user interface and graphical user interface consulting and design services in Korea, which is the highest broadband connectivity market in the world and a leader in mobile technology development. Ion Global Korea will retain its branding in that market.

One-on-One With Sarah Fay, Carat's New CEO
THE MERGER OF AEGIS GROUP'S Carat USA with digital unit Carat Fusion is all about the client and feels like a "natural evolution," says Sarah Fay, CEO of the newly combined unit.
"This is something that clients really want. We are merging structurally to provide one voice," says Fay, who will continue to carry her title as chief executive for the U.S. operations of Isobar, which include iProspect and Molecular. (Carat Fusion had fallen under the Isobar umbrella.)
"In the early days when we talked about digital, it was very much an add-on, along the lines of 'Well, do you want fries with that?'" she recalls. "The way the whole market approaches it has changed.
